Social Media Marketing 101

The KISS principle (keep it simple stupid) has never been more appropriate.  There are so many emerging trends and consumer touchpoints in social media.  Put simply, the social landscape is NOT typically a direct sales channel.  Don't push or force goods and services out.  However, it is an amazing and wonderful opportunity to engage & build trust.  People buy from those they know and trust.  So keep it simple.  TEACH, ENTERTAIN and PROVIDE A RESOURCE.  And do it consistently to build revisit & trust.  To do any of the above - you need CONTENT.  Content is your most powerful tool for forging relationships and building a loyal following tribe.  Educate, inspire, engage & excite them. Net, bring content to life - the impetus for the conversations that will build trust in a brand or business over the long term. So get busy TEACHING, ENTERTAINING & providing a unique RESOURCE to your customers.
