The Holidays

What a great time to spend time with your children.  We are all creatures of habit, and if you are fortunate enough to have a holiday tradition or two - please keep it up.  Mine is shopping with our chldren.  We don't buy much, an ornament or two and a nutcracker for family - but this shopping and eating time through the years has grown into a beautiful window for me to gaze in wonderment at the development of our children.  They are so happy and engaging now when we are shopping and have grown so much in their abilities to laugh and love and enage others and each other during the shopping and selection process.  What started out years ago as a quick fulfillment of checklist - has blossomed into a holiday quest to find something both beautiful and affordable.  Our youngest was sporting his very own five dollar bill at Pier I - and kept turning over glasses looking for that magic price range.  He wasn't about to grab another bill from his personal stash - but he still wanted something for Mom delightful and sparkling.  They are all amazing kids and marvels of life, and spending time with them is what makes the joy and traditions of the Holidays so special.  I hope for you all the peace, love and joy the holiday season can offer when you invest the time to visit and celebrate with loved ones.  Merry Christmas.
