Authentic

To find out what your customers believe about your product or service or brand, ask them.  Social media allows for multiple touchpoints to gather this data and feedback consistently.   Create customer-only email communications, or consider a newsletter for current customers, filled with topics of interest tailored to their purchases or behaviors.  If possible, segment your customers based on the types of products or services they use.  Establish online customer loyalty programs.  Give customers the opportunity to earn rewards such as discounts, extended warranties and fee gifts.  Loyal customers look for SALES and DISCOUNTS; give it to them, big time.  Make these wonderful customers feel special over and over and over again.   Unlike branding, promotion-based marketing is often centered on pricing strategies and aims for short-term sales results.  However, using this pricing strategy (consistently) works with LOYAL CUSTOMERS.  These are customers that are brand advocates anyway.  Net, they have bought-into the authenticity and brand essence of your product.  Now, they simply need a price promotion or discount to engage..
